Role overview
Selwyn District Council is seeking a Digital Support Specialist to help keep its workforce connected, productive, and well supported. Based in Rolleston, this position sits within the Digital Support team and is focused on delivering reliable day-to-day technology assistance across the organisation.
The role combines customer service, technical troubleshooting, and hands-on administration of devices and accounts. You will support staff with access to the hardware, systems, and digital tools they rely on, while also helping drive improvements that strengthen Council's digital environment.
What you'll do
You will provide first- and second-level support across the Council's digital landscape, including desktop, laptop, mobile, and Microsoft 365 environments. The role also covers the end-to-end management of the device fleet, from setup and rollout through maintenance and replacement.
In addition, you will administer user accounts, permissions, and software licensing, and work alongside the wider Digital team on technology deployments, hardware rollouts, and initiatives designed to improve the overall user experience.
