Role overview
Ryanair is hiring a Flight Planner to join its operations team within Europe’s largest airline group. This is a strong opportunity to become part of a fast-growing airline business as it works toward expanding its fleet to more than 800 aircraft and serving 300 million customers annually over the next decade.
The position is based at the head office in Airside Business Park, Swords, Dublin, and sits inside the Operations Control Centre. The role offers exposure to a busy airline environment and hands-on experience in flight operations support.
Working pattern
This is a shift-based role operating on a 4 days on / 4 days off rotation. Night shifts are included.
Compensation
The starting annual package is €40,000, plus a performance bonus of €6,000 per year. After one year, the salary rises to €45,000 per year, with the same €6,000 annual bonus.
Key duties
- Create and roll out practical solutions to day-to-day flight planning issues.
- Support flight operations with efficient responses to planning disruptions and delays.
- Keep an eye on flight plan generation and output.
- Prepare reports when needed.
- Track ATC messages and respond appropriately.
- Prepare flight planning documentation for crew use.
- Maintain route manuals and catalogues.
- Update aircraft performance data.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by Operations Control Management.
What you should bring
- Strong flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly.
- Comfort working and communicating effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Solid problem-solving and logistical thinking.
- Good people skills and an outgoing, confident manner.
- Computer proficiency, especially in MS Word and Excel; experience with Netline would be an advantage.
