Role Overview

Planned Companies is seeking a dependable, courteous, and detail-focused Janitor/Custodian to support the cleanliness and upkeep of a residential and commercial property in East Rutherford, NJ 07073. This position plays an important part in maintaining a healthy, safe, and presentable environment for tenants, guests, and vendors.

The role also includes light handyman support and minor painting work, along with routine cleaning and property maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will be thorough, observant, respectful in interactions, and ready to assist building management with additional tasks as needed.

Schedule and Pay

• Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Hourly pay: $19.00

Key Duties

• Clean floors using vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping across different surface types.
• Perform floor care tasks such as stripping, buffing, and waxing.
• Dust ceilings, light fixtures, countertops, and loose furniture.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets and sinks, as well as kitchen fixtures.
• Remove trash and handle window washing and drying.
• Replenish cleaning supplies, place supply requests, and report damage or repair needs.
• Support building management with assigned projects and other duties when requested.
• Carry out light handyman work.
• Complete light painting tasks.
