Main responsibilities
The role carries overall responsibility for the building fabric condition of the site, along with planned preventative maintenance and reactive repair work as needed.
- Diagnose faults in building fabric and related systems.
- Complete repair and upkeep work such as ceiling fixes, painting, skirting and facings replacement, and door servicing.
- Identify replacement parts needed for repairs and raise orders through the correct process.
- Carry out reactive landscape maintenance, including litter picking, in line with the project agreement.

- Support delivery of site services and undertake porterage duties.
- Help maintain health and safety compliance across the site.

What the employer offers
The organisation offers a fast-moving and varied environment within a forward-thinking business, along with an attractive salary and benefits package. There is also support for personal growth and ongoing development.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant will have worked as a building fabric or multi-skilled engineer in a busy service setting and should already have experience handling building fabric issues. A recognised trade qualification or time-served background is expected. Knowledge of general health and safety rules, plus experience preparing risk assessments and method statements, is important. The role suits someone who is self-motivated, able to spot defects without being prompted, reliable, and able to work on their own initiative. Strong communication and organisational skills are needed. Basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical knowledge would be an advantage. The role also requires willingness to join an on-call rota.
Additional requirements
This position requires an Enhanced DBS vetting process before an offer can be made.
