Role Overview

Oaks Moranbah Suites is hiring casual housekeepers/cleaners to support the growth of its housekeeping team. The role suits someone who is energetic, reliable, and proud of maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for guests.

Key Duties

• Clean guest rooms to a high standard, including making beds neatly, vacuuming floors, and sanitising bathrooms.
• Finish assigned cleaning work within the time allocated by the business.
• Work closely with other team members to achieve daily cleaning goals and operational targets.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and environmental guidelines at all times.
• Use cleaning tools, machinery, and products correctly and safely; full training and equipment will be provided.
• Maintain respectful and professional working relationships with colleagues, guests, and contractors.

Shift Pattern

Shift start times are typically between 8:00 am and 9:00 am, with a rotating roster running from Monday through Sunday. Availability is required on Monday, Thursday, and Friday, and there may also be occasional Saturday shifts.

Pay

Hourly rates are listed before superannuation: Monday to Friday at $33.85 per hour, Saturday at $40.62 per hour, and Sunday at $47.39 per hour.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning will be an advantage.
• Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness.
• Basic knowledge of safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment; training will be provided.
• Physically able to carry out repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
• Clear and professional communication skills for dealing with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Ability to organise time well and prioritise tasks effectively.
• A positive, proactive attitude and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
