Housekeeping/Custodial Associate - Full Time

Role Overview

Boscov’s is hiring a full-time Housekeeping/Custodial Associate to help maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment in Rochester, NY. This position supports the upkeep of restrooms, sales areas, office spaces, and other shared spaces throughout the building.

Key Duties

• Keep the store clean and orderly across restrooms, the selling floor, offices, and other common areas.
• Interact with customers and coworkers in a polite, professional manner.
• Remove dust from the sales floor, including both low and high surfaces.
• Use commercial cleaning equipment to care for carpets and tile flooring.
• Sweep floors, collect trash, and handle recyclable materials.
• Pick up waste from cashier stations and office areas.
• Dust mop, wet mop, and vacuum rugs as needed.
• Clean cafeteria tables, empty trash bins, and mop cafeteria floors.
• Sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and empty restroom trash containers.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of prior housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred.
• Should be able to work independently with little supervision and also contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Must be available for a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Role requires regular sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Applicant should be able to reach with the hands and arms and use fingers and hands to operate tools and controls.

• Starting pay is $16.65 per hour.
