Role Summary

This is a newly created position and will serve as the central owner for logistics and warehouse operations. Rather than simply maintaining an existing process, the person in this role will bring structure to scattered responsibilities, improve workflows, and become the main point of contact for product movement from warehouses to retail shelves and customer doorsteps. The role is based in Canada, works remotely, and an immediate start is preferred.

What You Will Do

Take charge of daily LTL and FTL freight booking, shipment coordination, and tracking for outbound retail and wholesale orders.
Collect freight rates, compare options, manage carrier partnerships, and ensure service expectations are met.
Handle shipment problems end-to-end, including exceptions, claims, delays, and product damage.
Make sure BOLs, PODs, and other shipping paperwork are complete, correct, and properly stored.
Work with 3PL partners, currently Stord across Delta, British Columbia and Ferndale, Washington, to manage inbound receipts, outbound fulfillment, and stock accuracy.
Track warehouse performance metrics such as fill rate, shipment accuracy, and on-time delivery, and act quickly when issues arise.
Reconcile finished goods inventory between NetSuite and 3PL warehouse records.
Set up transfer orders between warehouse locations when required.
Oversee retail and wholesale order logistics from shipping window through final delivery, including routing instructions, compliance needs, and retailer-specific labeling.
Create and update sales orders, purchase orders, and fulfillment records in NetSuite.
Coordinate with buyers and supply chain contacts at retail partners such as Loblaw, Sobeys, KeHE, McKesson, and Thrive Market regarding shipment dates, delays, and exceptions.
Assist with EDI documentation and retailer compliance to reduce the risk of chargebacks.
Keep logistics records current in NetSuite, including shipments, carrier costs, and delivery confirmations.
Prepare and share regular reports on open orders, freight spend, and fulfillment performance.
Spot opportunities to simplify processes, reduce costs, and create systems that can scale as the business grows.

What We Are Looking For

We need someone with 2 to 4 years of background in logistics, supply chain, or operations within a CPG environment. Strong hands-on knowledge of LTL freight is important, including booking, tracking, negotiating with carriers, and managing claims. Experience working with more than one 3PL or warehouse partner is also required. You should be confident communicating professionally with buyers, carriers, and retailer supply chain teams, and you must be highly organized, comfortable managing many moving parts, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment where processes may still be evolving.

Preferred Experience

Exposure to NetSuite or another ERP platform.
Background in food or beverage, including familiarity with lot tracking, expiry management, and food-grade compliance.
Understanding of retail compliance rules and routing guides in big box, natural channel, or club retail.
Cross-border logistics and customs experience between Canada and the United States.
Experience in a startup or scaling company with a lean operations team.
