Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position is based in Racine, Wisconsin and supports both day-to-day operations and program delivery for a nonprofit organization. The role works closely with the Executive Director to connect internal administrative functions with direct program support, helping the organization run efficiently and deliver meaningful services.
Key Responsibilities
The specialist will help manage operational tasks and program initiatives, ensuring workflows stay organized and programs are executed smoothly. The position requires a detail-oriented, adaptable professional who is committed to mental health education, advocacy, and community engagement.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or comparable experience in nonprofit management, business administration, social services, public health, or a similar area.
- Two to four years of background in nonprofit operations, program coordination, or administrative support.
- Strong skills in organizing work and managing time effectively.
- Ability to juggle several priorities and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when programs or events require it.
- Strong written and spoken communication abilities.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office and social media tools.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Alignment with the mission and values of NAMI Racine County.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience with CRM and accounting platforms, especially Bloomerang and QuickBooks.
- Background in coordinating volunteers.
- Familiarity with grant reporting and data tracking processes.
- Experience supporting mental health or community-based initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $43,000 to $46,000 per year. Benefits include health reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, a retirement plan, and professional development opportunities.
