About the role
This opportunity is for a Category Manager within the Procurement function, focused on creating measurable value across major spend areas such as Logistics, Engineering Services, and Capital Works. The role is centred on building category plans, strengthening supplier partnerships, and working closely with internal teams to improve commercial outcomes, lower costs, and introduce better ways of working.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement category plans that support wider business priorities.
- Oversee supplier relationships to improve delivery, value, and innovation.
- Run sourcing processes end to end, including tenders, commercial negotiations, and contract administration.
- Work with stakeholders to capture requirements and help shape informed decisions.
- Track market developments and translate them into useful business insights.
- Maintain strong governance, compliance, and contract management standards.
- Identify and deliver continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Contribute to procurement projects at both local and global levels.
What you’ll need
- A degree in business, finance, marketing, or another relevant discipline.
- At least 3 to 5+ years of experience in procurement, category management, or a closely related role.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Proven experience managing stakeholders and influencing outcomes.
- Well-developed negotiation skills and supplier management experience.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience using ERP systems.
