Production Assistant

About the Role

An opportunity is available for a hands-on production worker at a well-established manufacturer of customised piping systems in Chipping Norton, New South Wales. The role involves working across day, afternoon, or night shifts and supporting the manufacturing process from machine setup through to product completion and record keeping.

Key Duties

• Support machine start-up and setup activities under the guidance of the Team Leader
• Measure raw materials in line with the specifications for the pipe being produced
• Load raw materials into the extrusion equipment
• Keep an eye on the extrusion machine and help maintain its operation
• Carry out quality inspections on finished and in-process products
• Secure coils by strapping them correctly
• Use overhead cranes as required; training will be provided
• Make sure daily production records are completed accurately and in full
