Role Overview

The Roanoke, Virginia location is hiring a Project Manager to coordinate sprinkler or integrated systems projects. This role focuses on keeping jobs on schedule, within budget, and aligned with company, local, state, and federal safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and sequence project work so subcontractors can meet budget and schedule targets.
• Partner with sales and design teams on scope details, manpower planning, and change orders.
• Review contract documents and work with subcontractors and general contractors to collect project information.
• Confirm project timelines and share key deadlines with the internal team, including design start, listing, and POJ dates.
• Handle project communication and records, including ASIs, RFIs, change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders, while watching costs to improve profitability.
• Oversee compliance with safety procedures and enforce job-site safety requirements.
• Collaborate with estimators and designers to obtain information needed for sprinkler drawings, hydraulic calculations, seismic brace calculations, and material/equipment schedules.
• Prepare and submit stock lists, review fabrication quotes, order additional materials, and coordinate delivery and installation dates with superintendents.
• Maintain risk management and safety practices on all job sites according to company policy.

Requirements

• Three to five years of project management experience in sprinkler systems or integrated systems.
• Working knowledge of fire, NFPA, building, and safety regulations at the company, local, state, and federal levels.
• Strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Capability to pass background checks.
• Reliable transportation and a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for company vehicle use.
• Preferred, but not mandatory: experience using AutoCAD or SprinkCAD.
