Room Controller

Overview

Marina Bay Sands is looking for a Room Controller to join its diverse and inclusive team in Singapore. This role supports housekeeping operations by coordinating information flow, maintaining accurate room and guest service records, and ensuring smooth communication across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Pass departmental information to the right people promptly and accurately.
• Receive, log, and circulate reports and other operational updates.
• Assign work to morning and evening room attendants.
• Compile the daily reports for housekeepers.
• Record guest requests and ensure they are transmitted correctly.
• Update room status in the system each day and check for inconsistencies.
• Keep administrative records current and organized.
• Manage key control procedures.
• Track and monitor lost property.
• Maintain monthly attendance records.
• Work with the Engineering team to follow up on maintenance requests.

Requirements

• Secondary education is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to share information clearly with team members and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Comfortable communicating with both English- and Mandarin-speaking guests.
• Able to give clear instructions over the phone.
• Capable of using the right equipment, facilities, and materials needed for the job.
• Prior exposure to a hospitality environment is required.
• Able to work with colleagues at all levels.
• Friendly, customer-oriented, well-groomed, and energetic.
