Role Summary
As a Sales Development Representative, you will help create qualified sales leads, nurture prospective customers, and schedule meetings for account executives using outreach across email, phone, and web-based channels. You will be part of the Sales & Marketing team and contribute to relationship-building, prospecting strategy, and growth of the business.
This is a fully on-site position based in Meridian, Idaho. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available. Candidates must be able to work in the office five days a week during assigned working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Research prospects, identify decision-makers, and study market patterns and business challenges to shape targeted outreach.
- Reach out to potential customers through phone, email, and social-selling methods to create strong sales opportunities.
- Partner with Account Executives to coordinate lead-generation plans and ensure smooth lead handoffs.
- Collect and review prospect information to understand pain points, business opportunities, and industry-specific requirements that fit Paylocity’s solutions.
- Use AI-powered dialers, sales engagement tools, CRM systems, and data intelligence resources to improve efficiency and accuracy in prospecting.
- Build trust through consultative conversations and position Paylocity as a long-term partner in workforce transformation.
- Keep CRM records current, monitor interactions, and use reporting and analytics to improve outreach performance.
- Take part in team-based competitions and incentive programs tied to individual and group results.
Experience and Education
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Applicants with a high school diploma plus two years of work, military, or related experience may also be considered.
- Strong spoken and written communication skills are required.
- You should be driven, energetic, comfortable with competition, and eager to work hard.
- The role calls for someone who can learn products and processes quickly and independently.
- A self-directed, goal-focused mindset is important, along with the ability to work well within a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7 to 8 hours per day.

Compensation, Benefits, and Privacy
The base salary range for this role is $47,500 to $50,000 per year. Final pay may differ depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and the role is also eligible for a variable commission plan. The position includes a full benefits package as described by the company.
