Role overview
Solvo Global is hiring an experienced Sales Trainer to build, deliver, and refine learning programs that strengthen sales performance, especially for early-career team members. This position focuses on helping sales staff improve prospecting, closing, objection handling, and follow-up while encouraging ongoing development across the team.
Work setup and schedule
This is an on-site role based in Nairobi, Kenya. The working schedule is Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM, aligned to Nairobi time (EAT). The position is full-time and falls under the sales/business development industry.
Key responsibilities
- Build and roll out sales training programs, primarily in person, with some virtual sessions when needed.
- Coach SDRs and BDRs on essential sales capabilities such as prospecting, closing, objection handling, and follow-up.
- Conduct one-to-one and group coaching sessions to improve performance.
- Work with Sales and HR teams to identify skill gaps and improvement areas.
- Monitor KPIs and adjust training plans based on results.
- Develop, refresh, and maintain training content in line with current best practices.
- Support a strong culture of learning and continuous improvement within the sales function.
Experience and qualifications
The ideal candidate has 3 to 5 years of sales experience, preferably in a BDR or SDR role, along with 1 to 2 years of leadership experience. A solid understanding of the full sales cycle is important, as is prior success in sales training and coaching. Strong English communication and presentation skills are required, along with the ability to motivate early-career professionals. Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Apollo, or similar tools is expected.
