Role Overview

The organization is looking for an experienced SAP ABAP and VIM specialist to support solution design, configuration, development, and troubleshooting within SAP landscapes. The role focuses on VIM workflows, ABAP development, and integrations with SAP MM, FI, and related business processes, with additional exposure to S/4HANA, Fiori, and UI5.

Key Responsibilities

• Work extensively with SAP ABAP, including core and advanced programming concepts, the data dictionary, and RICEF object development.
• Design and support VIM workflows and contribute to VIM solution architecture.
• Develop technical solutions for VIM and/or xECM, with strong emphasis on practical business scenarios and best-practice implementation.
• Build custom workflows and deliver ABAP-based enhancements and objects.
• Configure key VIM components such as document types, process options, role and agent determination, blocking, approvals, ICC/IES, and Archive Center.
• Administer workflows, including restart and repair activities, and resolve workflow issues through debugging and troubleshooting.
• Work with SAP MM processes such as PO, GR, and SES, and support FI invoice posting, blocking, and parking scenarios.
• Support standard and custom SAP Fiori applications where required.
• Translate functional specifications into technical specifications and independently develop and deliver assigned technical objects.
• Collaborate effectively with functional teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP, including advanced programming, data dictionary objects, and RICEF development.
• Deep understanding of VIM workflows and VIM solution architecture.
• Exposure to solution design for VIM and/or xECM.
• Proven experience in custom workflow development along with ABAP delivery.
• Ability to recommend solutions aligned with VIM best practices for different business scenarios.
• Practical knowledge of VIM configuration areas such as document types, process options, role/agent determination, blocking, approvals, ICC/IES, and Archive Center.
• Experience in workflow administration, including restart and repair operations.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot workflow-related issues.
• Working knowledge of SAP MM and FI modules, especially invoice-related posting and blocking/parking scenarios.
• Exposure to SAP Fiori standard and custom apps is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, OO concepts, and Fiori/UI5 is required.
• Understanding of SAP MM functional processes and configuration is a strong plus.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to interpret functional specifications and convert them into technical design documents and working solutions.
