Role overview
Pixel Systems is looking for a Scrum Master Intern to support a project for a well-known German maritime logistics client. The work centers on helping the team build internal systems used to manage shipping data and coordination tools. In this role, you will support developers and designers by keeping work structured, visible, and moving forward in a small, fully remote environment.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a remote software agency that builds practical tools used in day-to-day business operations. The team focuses on products such as admin panels, CRM integrations, and database migrations rather than consumer-facing apps or marketing websites. Clients typically approach the company when spreadsheets and legacy processes are no longer enough to manage their operations. The company works with fixed quotes, conducts weekly demos, and delivers clean code along with clear documentation.
The team is senior, works with dependable technologies such as Node, React, and Postgres, and prefers solving real operational problems over chasing new frameworks. The company is fully remote, and every role is designed to be performed from wherever the candidate works best.
What you'll do
You will help the team stay organized and focused, without being responsible for managing people. Your main responsibility will be process support: checking in with developers about blockers, keeping task boards updated, and making sure feature requirements are written clearly enough for the team to act on quickly.
You will also help prepare and run weekly demos. That includes making sure the team is ready to present progress to the client and noting any feedback or requested changes during the call. The internship offers a close look at how a software project moves from requirements to a finished product in a professional remote setup.
What the role requires
The team is looking for someone who is highly organized, thoughtful, and comfortable working independently. Clear communication is important, both in writing and over video calls. A basic understanding of Agile ideas, or at least curiosity about how teams coordinate work, will be useful.
You should feel comfortable asking questions when something is unclear, and you should be able to turn technical conversations into simple, actionable notes. A preference for structure, attention to detail, and the ability to keep information accurate and up to date are important for success in this role.
Helpful background
Previous familiarity with GitHub and basic project management tools is beneficial. Experience with Kanban boards or organizing group projects in school will also transfer well. The company does not expect deep logistics expertise, but an interest in the connection between global shipping and data would make the project more engaging.
Working style
Pixel Systems operates without layers of management. Team members communicate directly with the people building the code or designing the product. The culture values honesty, clear expectations, and practical decision-making. The company emphasizes shipping useful work for real users, including warehouse managers and logistics coordinators, in an environment built on trust and minimal unnecessary process.
Compensation
This is a paid internship, and the company states that the compensation is competitive for the internship market.
Work environment
The role is fully remote, and the company expects interns to contribute to real project work rather than administrative errands. This position is intended to provide hands-on exposure to the practical side of project management within a software agency.
Additional notes
Pixel Systems is intentionally small and values speed, reliability, clarity, and results. Candidates who prefer straightforward collaboration and a practical, no-friction work environment are likely to fit in well.
