Role Overview
This position is for a Senior Copywriter focused on pharmaceutical advertising for HCP/DTC work. The role partners closely with brand copy teams to research, develop, and write copy that aligns with each client’s strategy. You will help create distinctive, original brand materials and take content from early drafts through final approved copy.
Core Work
The work may involve rewriting or refining manuscripts, and preparing annotations or references for client medical, legal, and regulatory submissions. You will also coordinate with Art and Editorial colleagues to make sure the message is accurate and that the final layout presents the content correctly.
Essential Functions
As part of the role, you will be expected to deliver polished copy, work smoothly across teams, understand strategic marketing goals, and handle administrative responsibilities with accuracy and attention to timing.
Responsibilities
- Develop clear, concise copy while meeting quality standards, grammar expectations, agency workflow requirements, client referencing rules, and legal constraints.
- Work productively with internal teams to keep projects moving and support the creative direction established for the agency.
- Apply knowledge of marketing plans, including campaign objectives, strategy, and how performance will be evaluated.
- Manage administrative tasks in a timely, organized, and detail-focused manner.
- Support the creation, editing, and refinement of materials for brand and client deliverables from draft stage to final version.
- Assist with manuscript revisions and with documenting medical, legal, and regulatory references or submissions as needed.
- Partner with Art and Editorial teams to confirm accuracy and proper presentation of content.
- Begin contributing leadership through mentoring and training junior team members.
