About the Role

This Darwin-based position is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of fit-out and finishes packages on complex construction projects. The role is expected to deliver strong technical, schedule, and commercial results while supporting successful site execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of fit-out and finishes packages from procurement through to final delivery.
• Monitor programme performance, identify slippages early, and put corrective measures in place to protect delivery timelines.
• Review drawings, specifications, and material schedules, and work with consultants to resolve design and coordination issues.
• Coordinate subcontractors so their work aligns with programme requirements, quality standards, and safety expectations.
• Support procurement by defining scope, engaging subcontractors, and sequencing package delivery effectively.
• Track and manage variations, ensuring they are communicated promptly and handled in line with commercial requirements.
• Check installation quality against design intent, project specifications, and company standards.
• Drive defect identification, rectification, and close-out across all finishes-related works.
• Ensure work is carried out in line with building codes, project documents, and safety systems.
• Carry out site inspections and audits to maintain strong safety and quality outcomes.
• Keep project records, reporting, and package tracking accurate and up to date.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, and consultants to solve issues and support project delivery.
• Build productive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to a high-performing site team and represent DCOH in a professional, commercially focused way.

Requirements

• Tertiary study in Construction, Engineering, or a similar field.
• At least 5 years of experience delivering fit-out and finishes scopes on commercial or residential projects valued at $10M or more.
• Strong technical ability, including reading drawings, understanding specifications, and resolving design issues.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors, coordinating programme activities, and supporting site delivery.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, buildability, and sequencing.
• Solid understanding of safety, quality, and compliance obligations in construction settings.
• Strong commercial judgement, including awareness of variations, cost effects, and scope control.
• Well-developed organisation and reporting skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with consultants, site teams, and stakeholders.
