Role Overview
KREWE is hiring a Spatial & Experience Designer to guide the spatial design, visual presentation, and overall retail experience across store locations. This position is part of the creative team and reports to the Art Director, while partnering closely with the Founder and the retail operations team. The role is responsible for shaping how the stores look and feel, and for helping ensure that the experience is delivered consistently across every location.
This is an onsite role based in the New Orleans headquarters, with a five-day-in-office schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Help shape and continuously refine the retail environment and customer experience in partnership with the Founder and creative team.
- Turn the brand direction into spatial layouts, material choices, fixtures, and memorable in-store moments.
- Contribute to new store ideas, formats, and branded retail experiences.
- Develop, document, and maintain visual brand standards that can be reviewed, updated, and enforced over time.
- Make sure the standards are practical for store development teams to use and execute consistently across locations.
- Lead the design aspects of new retail buildouts and coordinate closely with retail operations to support standard-compliant openings.
- Offer creative direction and oversight during construction and installation to preserve design intent.
- Convert creative ideas into scalable systems that can work across the business.
- Balance originality and innovation with repeatability and operational consistency.
- Serve as the link between the creative and retail functions so the design vision is translated into execution.
Requirements
- Background in retail, interior, and/or spatial design.
- Strong aesthetic judgment and a solid understanding of brand, space, and customer experience.
- Ability to transform creative ideas into clear, usable standards and guidelines.
- Excellent organization skills and the capacity to handle several projects and stakeholders at once.
- Comfort with direct feedback and with ensuring teams stay aligned to standards.
- Ability to think creatively while still executing with operational discipline.
- Detail-focused approach with a strong emphasis on quality and consistency.
