Role Overview

The Sr. Sourcing Manager will oversee vendor and supplier management across sourcing, qualification, RFP execution, contract negotiation, and ongoing supplier relationships. The role is focused on securing reliable products and services at competitive pricing while sustaining strong partnerships with critical suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Find, assess, and approve vendors and suppliers that can support goods and services for data center operations and digital infrastructure.
• Plan, run, and manage RFP processes to encourage competitive proposals and choose the most suitable suppliers.
• Handle contract discussions with vendors to achieve beneficial terms, pricing, and delivery timelines aligned with business needs.
• Build and preserve strong supplier relationships while tracking performance and resolving issues tied to quality, timing, or service.
• Spot opportunities to reduce costs and improve supply chain efficiency without sacrificing reliability or quality.
• Monitor market developments, supplier innovations, and emerging technologies that could influence sourcing decisions.
• Evaluate supply chain risks, vendor reliability, and contractual exposure, then take steps to reduce those risks.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Operations, and Legal to ensure sourcing plans support company objectives.
• Compile and deliver regular updates to senior leadership on sourcing progress, supplier performance, and savings achieved.
• Adopt and refine sourcing and vendor-management practices that improve effectiveness and operational speed.

Qualifications

This position calls for a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A master’s degree or a professional credential such as CPSM or CIPS is considered an advantage.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, contract management, or supply chain management, ideally within technology, infrastructure, or data center environments.

Additional Requirements

The ideal candidate should be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment, with a strong focus on outcomes and continuous improvement.

Preferred Professional Credentials

Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or an equivalent supply management credential are a plus.

Core Capabilities

Success in this role requires strong negotiation and contract management ability, comfort with sourcing and procurement tools, and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office. The role also demands the ability to interpret market trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing patterns, along with excellent planning, quantitative analysis, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

In addition, the role calls for the ability to assess schedule data, identify deviations and risks, perform variance analysis, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and adapt quickly when priorities or timelines shift. A commitment to ethical conduct, compliance, and ongoing improvement is also important.
