Store Driver

Role Overview

Advance Auto Parts is hiring a full-time Store Driver in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This onsite role combines safe driving, parts delivery, customer interaction, and store support tasks.

What You’ll Do

• Collect, organize, and safely deliver automotive parts to professional customers.
• Retrieve returns and cores from customers.
• Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers while highlighting active promotions and loyalty offers.
• Handle daily collection efforts for credit accounts.
• Develop strong working relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers and share delivery-based insights with the CPP.
• Support upselling and cross-selling efforts to help grow average transaction value.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including floors, restrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
• Assist with stocking duties such as truck unloading, back stock organization, and cycle counts.
• Stay informed on inventory and new product arrivals to support sales efforts.
• Welcome walk-in customers, learn their needs, and recommend suitable parts or services.
• Take on other assigned duties as needed.

Experience and Education

Previous automotive parts experience is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. You must also hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements

This position is primarily walking and standing. The job also requires the ability to speak and hear, use hands and fingers, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. You must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The role is mostly performed indoors, with occasional outdoor work in changing weather conditions, such as when installing batteries and wiper blades. There may also be exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, hazardous chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, and vibration. The typical noise level is moderate.
