Store Manager

Role overview

The Store Manager is responsible for driving store performance, maintaining strong customer service standards, and making sure the team has the guidance, tools, and product knowledge needed to maximize sales. The role also involves enforcing company and brand operating standards, encouraging loyalty program usage, and sharing regular feedback with the Area Manager and Operations Manager on people and product matters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team in meeting daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
• Ensure retail staff deliver high-quality customer service and are supported with the right coaching and resources.
• Stay current on product ranges, fashion trends, and new launches so customer needs can be handled effectively.
• Maintain strong stock discipline, including stockroom control and actions to minimize stock loss.
• Follow and enforce store operating procedures, along with all brand and company policies.
• Use creative selling approaches to help the store meet or exceed sales targets.
• Keep stock levels sufficient to support sales performance.
• Review store administration on a weekly basis and fix any mismatches or errors.
• Handle the daily roster, employee leave planning, and staff grievances.
• Ensure visual merchandising standards are consistently maintained across the store.
• Promote the company loyalty program to support repeat business.
• Oversee end-to-end store operations and provide updates to management on team and product-related issues.
• Maintain constant awareness of store security and act with care to avoid negligence.
• Stay informed about the group’s brands to support effective cross-selling and suggestive selling.
• Be physically capable of standing for long periods and handling heavy lifting when required.
