The role
Ventia is looking for a capable Storeperson to join the Venture Smart team in Jandakot, working from the Main Roads Depot. Reporting to the Store Supervisor, this role supports the day-to-day running of the store so the operational team can carry out their work safely and efficiently.
The ideal person will be dependable, well organised, self-driven, and mindful of safety. You should be comfortable working on your own as well as with others, and have a strong focus on correct handling, storage, and dispatch of materials.
This is a permanent full-time role on a rotating Monday to Friday schedule, with shifts either from 06:00 am to 03:30 pm or from 07:00 am to 02:30 pm.
The hourly rate for this position is between $38.39 and $40.31, plus superannuation and overtime opportunities, depending on experience.
Key duties
- Handle stock requests, transfers, and returns accurately and on time, while helping monitor inventory levels.
- Track store materials being returned under warranty and ensure all records are completed correctly.
- Operate high-reach forklifts for loading, moving, and delivering parts between warehouse locations.
- Move goods around the store safely, using forklifts where required and maintaining strong housekeeping and warehousing standards.
- Take part in routine stock counts and stock-take activities.
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming deliveries, while keeping warehouse stock locations organised and current.
- Maintain yard laydown areas for storage and staging, including waste separation and disposal.
Skills and experience
- A current High Risk Work Licence with LF forklift endorsement.
- Hands-on experience operating both counterbalance and high-reach forklifts.
- A Western Australia driver’s licence, preferably MR class.
- Background in a similar role involving quality control, logistics, and scheduling.
- Experience with SAP or another comparable system, preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
