Supervisor - Stewards

Role overview

This supervisory stewarding role is based in Doha, Qatar, within the Food and Beverage & Culinary function at The Pearl Island location. The position is non-management and is scheduled as full-time, with on-site work required.

What you will do

You will lead and support stewarding activities to keep kitchen and banquet operations running smoothly and efficiently. The job involves guiding stewards, monitoring sanitation standards, and helping coordinate the flow of cleaned equipment and supplies back to the right areas.

• Direct and support stewarding staff to improve cleaning efficiency.
• Check that water temperature and chemical concentration meet cleaning requirements and are properly recorded.
• Help with banquet plate-up preparation and support banquet and buffet operations.
• Assist cooks and kitchen teams with day-to-day tasks and supply needs.
• Transport and replenish stock needed for banquet and buffet service.
• Return cleaned equipment and items to their correct storage locations.
• Use and care for cleaning tools and equipment such as dishwashing machines, hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Support supervisory duties such as hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating associates.
• Follow company safety, security, and confidentiality standards, and report incidents or unsafe conditions.
• Maintain professional appearance, communicate clearly, and build positive working relationships to help the team meet quality standards.
• Perform physically demanding duties, including lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds and working for extended periods in varied positions and surfaces.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Preferred profile

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED equivalent, at least 2 years of relevant work experience, and at least 1 year of supervisory experience. No license or certification is required.
