About the Opportunity
Career Bloc is an edtech company that is expanding quickly and helps students throughout India make informed choices about academics and careers. The organization works with schools, colleges, and individual learners to create personalized learning and career pathways backed by data, mentorship, and practical guidance.
Role and Responsibilities
- Hold one-on-one counseling conversations with students to understand their ambitions, strengths, and pain points, and then recommend fitting academic streams, colleges, and career directions.
- Create tailored education plans by using assessment tools, interest-based evaluations, and academic performance information.
- Support students and parents with college admissions, scholarship applications, entrance exam preparation strategy, and career planning across STEM, Commerce, Humanities, and newer career areas.
- Work with school leaders and teachers to run career-readiness workshops, aptitude sessions, and parent engagement programs.
- Keep student records up to date, monitor progress in CRM systems, and prepare regular outcome updates for stakeholders.
- Remain current on education policies at the national and state level, entrance exam formats, university rankings, and evolving career opportunities so guidance stays accurate and relevant.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong background in academic and career counseling.
- Ability to use aptitude and assessment tools effectively.
- Knowledge of college admissions processes and student guidance methods.
- Comfort with tracking student progress and maintaining records.
- Hands-on experience using CRM software.
- Awareness of education policy and updates in the academic landscape.
- Experience with NEP 2020 implementation is preferred.
- Exposure to JEE, NEET, CLAT, or NDA entrance exams is preferred.
- Capability to facilitate workshops and group sessions is preferred.
