Role overview
Val Morgan Cinema is expanding and is looking for an Account Manager to join its team in Auckland. This position focuses on managing and growing a strong client portfolio across a major group of agencies, while delivering effective account service that supports revenue growth. The role suits someone who is determined, resilient, and willing to put in consistent effort.
Key responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and grow revenue-producing client relationships.
- Spot opportunities to increase revenue by recommending suitable sales solutions.
- Handle client briefs and respond to business needs in a timely and effective manner.
- Represent the business at networking events and stay active within the industry.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close deals aligned with company strategy.
- Support and mentor junior colleagues when needed.

- 2 to 3 years of experience as an Account Executive ready to step up, or existing experience as an Account Manager seeking a new challenge.
- Previous experience building and sustaining professional relationships, ideally within media.
- Strong ability to stay results-oriented, manage pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated success in creating and executing sales plans that meet or exceed targets.
- A proactive attitude with creative thinking to help grow business.
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, along with strong interpersonal ability.
