Role Overview

The company is hiring an experienced Azure Data Architect with strong hands-on exposure to Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks. This opportunity is based in Chennai and is suited for professionals who can design and deliver scalable data solutions in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, design, and deploy reliable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory to move data efficiently across source systems and data warehouses.
• Apply Azure Databricks for data transformation, analytical processing, and insight generation.
• Create, tune, and support SQL queries for data retrieval, transformation, and analysis across different platforms.
• Develop Python scripts to automate data handling, processing tasks, and workflow improvements.
• Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions that match organizational goals.
• Track pipeline health, resolve issues, and maintain strong standards for data quality, reliability, and performance.
• Keep up with new developments and best practices in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, and Python to continuously improve solutions.

Technical and Professional Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of Azure Data Factory for orchestration and integration.
• Practical experience with Azure Databricks for engineering and analytics workloads.
• Good command of SQL, including query development, data manipulation, and performance optimization.
• Solid Python programming skills for data processing and automation.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Certifications in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, SQL, or Python are preferred.
• Exposure to other Azure services or adjacent cloud technologies is an added advantage.
• Awareness of data governance, security, and compliance practices is beneficial.
