About the Role
The company is looking for an outbound Business Development Representative to generate new pipeline opportunities. This is a prospecting-heavy entry-level position focused on opening conversations with potential customers, qualifying interest, and scheduling discovery meetings for Account Executives. The role is suited to someone early in their career who values learning, persistence, and consistent execution over prior experience.
Responsibilities
- Research target companies and identify the right decision-makers to approach.
- Launch outbound campaigns through tailored email outreach, phone calls, and LinkedIn messaging.
- Run multi-step prospecting sequences to create new conversations.
- Qualify interested prospects and set discovery meetings for Account Executives.
- Share accurate background and context so handoffs to AEs are smooth and complete.
- Maintain current CRM records, activity logs, and follow-up tasks.
- Meet daily outreach targets and monthly qualified-meeting goals.
Requirements
- Strong motivation and persistence, with the ability to handle rejection and stay focused on results.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn quickly, accept coaching, and apply feedback.
- Good personal organization and discipline in managing follow-ups and CRM updates.
- Genuine curiosity about prospect needs and how the product can solve them.
- 0 to 1 year of experience; recent graduates and early-career candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Comfort with speaking to new people by phone and starting conversations proactively.
- Competitive mindset and ability to work within a repeatable process while improving over time.
Bonus Skills
- Exposure to a fast-paced tech, SaaS, or startup environment through work or internships.
- Hands-on familiarity with CRM or sales engagement tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, or Apollo.
