Role overview
Longdon Park School in Egginton, Derbyshire is seeking a practical, dependable Caretaker to help maintain a safe, orderly and welcoming environment for pupils and staff. This is a hands-on position where your day-to-day work will directly support children and young people, including those with Autism and other complex needs, by keeping the site secure, well maintained and ready for learning.
The school is part of Outcomes First Group and sits within Options Autism, which provides specialist education and care for people with autism, learning difficulties and complex needs. The organisation focuses on creating positive outcomes through evidence-based practice and a supportive, inclusive environment.

- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Salary: £27,560 per year
- Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks

What you will do
In this role, you will take responsibility for keeping the school functioning smoothly and safely. Your work will range from routine maintenance and repairs to site security and readiness for the school day. You will also support improvement work across the site and provide a steady, reassuring presence for everyone on campus.

Longdon Park School opened in June 2015 and is a co-educational day school for learners aged 7 to 18. The school supports pupils with complex educational needs, communication challenges and behavioural needs, primarily linked to ASD. It offers a therapeutic, inclusive approach and aims to help pupils build responsibility, make positive choices and progress towards the next stage of life. The school is not easily reached by public transport.
Outcomes First Group states that it has been certified as a Great Place to Work for six consecutive years, as of 2025.
