Role Overview
The Caretaker III is a full-time on-site role responsible for maintaining a school environment that is clean, safe, and properly maintained. The position focuses on daily caretaking services that help keep the building, grounds, and equipment in good working order while minimizing disruption to classes.

Assignment: Effective date to be determined
Work Schedule: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
Full Time Equivalent: 1.0 FTE
Key Duties
- Carry out day-to-day custodial and caretaking tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the school.
- Help keep the building, grounds, and equipment in a satisfactory state of repair.
- Use hand tools, floor machines, auto scrubbers, and similar equipment as needed.
- Follow established security practices and safety procedures while performing site duties.
- Support a work environment that reduces interruptions to classroom activity.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school completion or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- At least 1 to 2 years of caretaking experience.
- Practical experience operating tools and cleaning equipment such as hand tools, floor machines, and auto scrubbers.
- Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, fire safety requirements, and security procedures.
- Basic understanding of HVAC equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
- Physical capability to perform the demands of the role.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lb.).

Compensation
The hourly wage is $27.06 to $31.13.

Eligibility and Application Requirements
