Role Overview
Penrith City Council is seeking Childcare Assistants with a Certificate III qualification to join its children’s services team. The role involves supporting quality care and learning for children in a range of settings, including long day care, preschool, before and after school care, and vacation care.
Employment Options
Opportunities are available on a permanent full-time, permanent part-time, temporary part-time, and casual basis. This position is based in Penrith, New South Wales, Australia, and requires on-site work.
Hours of Work
Selected applicants must be available for shifts between 6:00am and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, depending on service needs.
Key Duties
You will support educators in delivering safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments for children aged 0–12 years. The position also involves building positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community, assisting with educational experiences, and keeping records, observations, and documentation up to date.

Pay and Benefits
The hourly rate is $32.13 to $37.20, plus 12% superannuation and any applicable Worker Retention Payment. Important Conditions
This is a child-related role under NSW child protection laws, so a valid Working with Children Check number is required to apply.
