The Opportunity

An opening is available for dependable and motivated cleaners to join the team in Invercargill, Southland, New Zealand. This position suits people who work well in a busy setting, take pride in accuracy and presentation, and enjoy keeping client areas clean and inviting.

This is a part-time onsite role with the following roster:

• Sunday and Monday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Wednesday and Thursday: 6:00 PM to 9:15 PM

The pay rate is $24.25 per hour.

Key Duties

• Carry out everyday cleaning tasks to a consistently high standard.
• Clean upholstery and other furnishings as required.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Clean toilets and bathroom areas.
• Collect and dispose of rubbish.
• Wash internal and external glass surfaces.
• Dust hard surfaces thoroughly.

What We Are Looking For

• Prior cleaning experience is preferred, particularly in commercial environments.
• Hands-on experience in detailed cleaning is required.
• Willingness to take additional shifts on weekdays and weekends when needed.
• A valid driver’s licence and dependable transport are required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable following instructions and also working independently.
• Strong focus on accuracy and detail.
• Good customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and consistent at work.
• Basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Availability for flexible hours and public holidays when required.
• Experience using floor-care equipment such as scrubbers, buffers, or sweepers is an advantage.
• Good spoken and written English is essential, as all training and health and safety communication is provided only in English.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older because of company health and safety rules.
• Valid work rights in New Zealand are required.
