Role summary
This full-time, on-site position in Windsor, Ontario calls for a Contract Administrator who can manage construction contracts for transportation and municipal infrastructure projects. The role includes reviewing contract documents, checking compliance, and assisting project teams throughout the construction stage. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, contractors, and internal colleagues, track changes and records, support procurement and tender activities, and prepare reports and correspondence connected to contract performance.
Key responsibilities
- Administer construction contracts for transportation and municipal infrastructure assignments.
- Examine contract documents and monitor adherence to contractual terms.
- Coordinate regularly with clients, contractors, and internal team members.
- Track contract revisions, records, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with procurement activities and tendering processes.
- Draft reports and correspondence related to contract status and performance.
- Support quality assurance efforts during project delivery.
- Help ensure compliance with contractual commitments and regulatory obligations.
- Address contract-related concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications and skills
Applicants should bring a solid background in contract administration and contract management, with the ability to interpret contract clauses and apply terms and conditions accurately. Experience supporting contract negotiation and procurement is important, particularly in tendering and vendor selection. The role also requires strong analytical ability to assess documentation, identify risks, and support informed decisions. Clear written and verbal communication is essential for interacting with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Experience in construction, infrastructure, or engineering environments is preferred, especially on public-sector or municipal projects. A post-secondary background in engineering, construction management, business, or a similar discipline is considered an asset. Candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using standard office tools such as Word, Excel, and PDF software. Familiarity with contract management systems is a plus. Knowledge of Ontario public procurement practices, basic contract law, and standards or regulations relevant to transportation and municipal infrastructure would be beneficial.
