Role Overview
FGV Quant - Liga Estudantil is looking for a part-time entry-level Data Analyst to join its Sydney, New South Wales team in a hybrid setup that combines on-site work with work-from-home flexibility.
What You’ll Do
You will support the handling of datasets from start to finish, including gathering, tidying, and structuring data so it can be used effectively. The role also covers introductory exploratory analysis, helping create dashboards and reports for internal teams, building basic data models, and preparing charts or other visual summaries to present results clearly. You will also be expected to record methods and outcomes, work with teammates on quantitative tasks, contribute to analytical problem-solving, and keep developing your knowledge of relevant data tools and techniques.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have solid analytical ability and a good grounding in data analytics so they can turn raw information into useful insights. A working understanding of statistics and core statistical ideas is important for analysis, hypothesis testing, and tracking performance. You should also be able to assist with simple data modeling by organizing data structures and supporting descriptive or predictive approaches.
Strong communication skills are needed to explain findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with spreadsheets, SQL, or beginner-friendly data analysis tools such as Python, R, or BI platforms would be an advantage. The role also suits someone who works well in a collaborative team, manages time effectively in a hybrid work environment, and is currently studying or has recently graduated in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, computer science, or a similar field.
