About the Role
Jobright is an AI-driven career search platform designed to make job discovery quicker, more intelligent, and more tailored to each person. The team is hiring a Data Annotator to build reliable training data that helps AI agents interpret resumes, understand hiring trends, and support better career decisions.
Why This Role Stands Out
- Your annotation choices will become the reference standard that shapes how the company’s AI agents perform in live use.
- You’ll be able to see the impact of your work as model quality improves from one iteration to the next.
- The role offers close collaboration with applied AI and research teams, along with a pathway toward AI engineering or machine learning roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Label and assess resumes, job advertisements, agent conversation logs, and other text-based datasets used to train and improve AI systems.
- Handle unclear or edge-case examples thoughtfully, identify recurring issues, and help refine guidelines so mistakes are reduced over time.
- Work with applied AI engineers to analyze where agents are performing poorly and build focused annotation efforts to address those weaknesses.
- Support documentation, quality checks, and reviewer processes that maintain consistency as the dataset and team expand.
Requirements
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with 0 to 2 years of experience in annotation, content moderation, research, editorial work, or a related area.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to explain labeling decisions clearly and ask useful questions when instructions are incomplete.
- Careful attention to detail, sound judgment when information is unclear, and an understanding of how labeled data affects AI and ML model behavior.
- Preferred background includes internships or projects in data annotation, linguistics, qualitative research, or content operations within a tech or AI environment.
- Ability to work through large amounts of complex material accurately, even when the topic is new or unfamiliar.
- Helpful experience includes working with annotation tools such as Label Studio or Scale, using spreadsheets or basic SQL, and reviewing LLM outputs or prompt-based workflows.
