Role Overview

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park’s Cliff House Restaurant is hiring a practical, efficient dishwasher to support kitchen and café operations at one of Vancouver’s best-known visitor attractions. This role is suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy hospitality environment, values order and cleanliness, and takes pride in contributing to a smooth guest experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Working closely and professionally with the serving team to keep service running smoothly
• Handling the daily movement of kitchen supplies, including receiving, distribution, and shipping-related tasks
• Taking out garbage, recycling, and other waste materials to the correct storage locations
• Washing, sanitizing, and organizing dishes, utensils, glassware, and cookware in the proper areas
• Helping keep the kitchen, walk-in cooler, and storage spaces clean, sanitized, and well organized
• Supporting cleanliness and safety across the kitchen, including prep areas, the line, and floors
• Following HAACP and Food Safe standards at all times
• Working in line with the Team Member Handbook and established workplace procedures
• Using sound judgment to protect your own safety, as well as the safety of coworkers and guests
• Watching for hazards and reporting concerns to a supervisor right away
• Ensuring you are fit to work safely and not affected by alcohol, drugs, or any other condition that may impair performance
• Helping the Head Chef and line cooks with additional duties and opening/closing routines as needed

Requirements

• Food Safe Level 1 certification is considered an advantage
• Clear communication skills; additional languages are a bonus
• Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-moving environment
• Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering an experience that impresses guests
• Comfort with lifting and carrying items up to 20 lbs, and using a step ladder or step stool when needed
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Comfort working in a high-temperature, high-pressure setting during busy service periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Additional Information

This position is expected to cover evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. The posted pay rate is $19.33 per hour, plus gratuities.
