Role Overview

This full-time remote Dispatcher position focuses on overseeing day-to-day transportation activity. You will allocate loads, coordinate driver schedules, and adjust routes to help ensure pickups and deliveries happen on time. The role includes staying in touch with drivers and customers, monitoring shipments, and maintaining accurate records in dispatch and tracking tools. You will also manage service disruptions, handle changes to schedules, and escalate concerns when needed to protect service quality.

Key Functions

• Coordinate daily transportation operations and monitor shipment movement.
• Assign loads, plan driver schedules, and update routes as conditions change.
• Communicate clearly with drivers and customers, sharing instructions and status updates.
• Track deliveries and enter or revise information in dispatch and tracking systems.
• Address delays, route changes, and service problems, escalating issues when required.
• Work with operations, customer service, and management teams to improve routing, capacity use, and service outcomes.
• Support safety and compliance-related process requirements.

Qualifications

Applicants should have strong communication and customer service abilities, plus experience or familiarity with dispatching, transportation coordination, or logistics work. Comfort using computers and dispatch software is important, along with accurate data entry, documentation, and record keeping. The role calls for strong organization, time management, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a busy environment. You should also be able to solve problems quickly when delays or route changes occur, and work independently in a remote setting with reliability and professionalism.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training or education in logistics, transportation, or a related area is considered an advantage. Prior experience in trucking, freight, courier, or similar logistics roles is preferred but not mandatory.
