Role overview
The Distribution Analyst is responsible for supporting Region leadership, the Vice President of Distribution, and Distributor Partner Managers through strategic analysis, standard reporting, non-distribution support, point-of-sale management, and ongoing communication.
Strategic analysis and business planning
This role contributes to planning and performance analysis by reviewing revenue and budget inputs for annual plan approval, supporting the planning cycle, analyzing gaps between plan and actual results, preparing progress updates, validating distributor partner data, forecasting region performance, analyzing distribution costs, and managing point-of-sale data.
Reporting and process support
The analyst will help maintain and improve standardized reporting and operational processes, including invoice validation, invoice clean-up coordination with distributor partners, continuous improvement of recurring reports, measurement of distributor partner management project outcomes, preparation of canned reports for regional and team needs, execution reporting for RBNA and VPD, and issue/action tracking for region reporting.
Support for other functions
This position also provides assistance to headquarters national accounts and other region-based functions such as Tier II Key Account Managers, the Vice President of Marketing, Key Account Managers, On-Premise teams, and Musketeers. The role includes managing the regional national account survey process.
Communication and coordination
Strong communication is required to work with distributor partner finance teams, the RBNA payment center, and the Vice President of Distribution. The analyst will also support weekly updates, monthly sales meeting preparation, and tracking of invoice payables aging and related problem statuses.
Requirements and qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in an analyst position within the consumer packaged goods industry.
- Experience building working relationships with finance leaders at distributor partners.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to turn data analysis into practical insights.
- Sales-oriented mindset with an understanding of sales drivers and how data connects to sales execution.
- Strong communication skills and a high level of organization.
- Understanding of core distribution roles and organizational structure.
- Knowledge of the retail environment, including local, regional, and national accounts.
- Comfort working in a mostly office-based role, with roughly 90% office time.
- Ability to collaborate across RBNA, regional teams, and retailers.
- Comfort using technology and working closely with IT teams.
- High-level awareness of RBNA reporting systems and capabilities, including Circana.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- English fluency is required; additional languages are considered an advantage.
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $72,000 to $108,000, plus cash incentives.
