Driver/Valeter

Role overview

Join the Stansted depot as a customer-oriented Driver/Valeter and become a key part of the Vehicle Hire Division. The division supplies light commercial vehicles to a wide mix of clients, including large corporate organisations, public sector bodies, and medium-sized businesses.

In this role, you will represent the SIXT Van & Truck brand by making sure vehicles are clean, prepared to standard, and moved safely and efficiently. The position comes with a starting annual salary of £32,400, along with a bonus linked to your contribution and performance.

Key duties

• Prepare, wash, and valet vehicles so they consistently meet customer expectations.
• Complete all required customer handover documents and related paperwork accurately.
• Handle vehicle movements between depots, including deliveries and collections, within the required timeframes.
• Check vehicles on collection and return for any damage, record findings, and complete the necessary reports.
• Confirm any damage with customers, obtain the required signatures, and inform the depot manager.
• Support refuelling activity and help keep depot operations running smoothly while delivering excellent customer service.

What we are looking for

You should be adaptable, comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, and able to stay effective both on your own and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail is important for vehicle checks and paperwork, and you should be able to communicate clearly and professionally with customers.

The role also requires flexibility to work on a rotating shift pattern covering branch opening hours. A valid driving licence is essential, together with at least 12 months of driving experience.
