ఉద్యోగ వివరణ
Company Overview
Kwantflow builds software that helps custom manufacturers cut down the slow, manual work involved in handling RFQs. Its secure, locally deployed AI assistant reads incoming requests from a company’s inbox, pulls out technical details from unstructured customer information, and prepares cost estimates using each business’s own pricing rules and material data, with human review built in. The system works alongside existing ERP, CRM, and workflow tools, acting as a smart layer between email and core systems rather than replacing them. By simplifying data entry and speeding up estimation, the platform helps teams shorten RFQ response times, improve win rates, and keep full control of their data.
Role Overview
This is a full-time on-site Estimator position in the Greater Brisbane Area. The successful candidate will assess RFQs and engineering documents, decode technical requirements, and produce detailed cost estimates for custom manufacturing work using Kwantflow’s platform and internal pricing structures.
Key Duties
- Examine RFQs and related engineering material to understand scope and pricing needs.
- Break down material, labour, and production costs for bespoke manufacturing jobs.
- Work closely with sales, engineering, and operations teams to confirm estimate assumptions and accuracy.
- Prepare transparent, competitive quotations and bid submissions for customers.
- Maintain and refresh pricing databases and cost inputs as needed.
- Track market changes in material and subcontractor pricing to keep estimates current.
- Identify ways to improve estimation quality and reduce turnaround time.
- Share product feedback with the product and implementation teams to improve workflow support.
Qualifications and Experience
The role calls for strong costing experience in custom or engineered-to-order manufacturing, along with the ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials and convert them into structured cost breakdowns. Candidates should be comfortable using spreadsheets and estimation or ERP systems, and able to move between email, digital files, and systems of record with ease. Strong numerical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high level of accuracy are important. Good written and verbal communication is needed for collaboration and for explaining assumptions clearly. Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, or another industrial setting is preferred, and familiarity with RFQ and bidding workflows is an advantage. Applicants should also be able to manage several RFQs at once, prioritize deadlines, and work effectively in a busy, changing environment. A technical or trade qualification, diploma, or degree in engineering, quantity surveying, manufacturing, or a related discipline is desirable, though equivalent hands-on experience is also acceptable.
