Overview
Aviva is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support Director-level leaders in London. The position is based in Greater London, England, United Kingdom, with a starting salary of approximately £60,000. In this role, you will provide proactive, high-quality executive support that helps senior leaders stay organised, focused, and prepared.
You will be expected to manage demanding schedules, coordinate meetings, handle communications, and ensure documents and presentations are accurate and professionally presented. A curious mindset, strong adaptability, and a willingness to keep learning are important. An interest in, or awareness of, the current technology landscape would also be useful.
Role summary
This is a key support role working closely with Directors to keep their day-to-day priorities and responsibilities running smoothly. You will manage complex diaries, coordinate across multiple stakeholders, and help ensure the wider leadership agenda moves forward efficiently.
You will work closely with teams such as Chief of Staff offices, Executive Assistants across IWR and CIO, Operations Manager, and Company Secretariat where relevant. Where Directors are involved with Boards, you will partner with Company Secretariat to support governance activity, including scheduling, coordination, and preparation of Board materials.
The position sits at the centre of Aviva’s leadership operations and has a broad impact across strategic and operational work.
Skills and experience
- Previous experience supporting senior Directors as an Executive Assistant within a large and complex organisation, ideally in a regulated setting.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce polished presentations.
- A high level of judgement, confidentiality, precision, and the ability to deliver work quickly and accurately.
- Excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to balance several priorities under pressure.
- Working understanding of the relevant market or business area.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary is circa £60,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications. Aviva also offers an 8% bonus opportunity, subject to personal and company performance.
