About the role
The Media Incentives team helps Google make well-founded financial choices for programs that support media incentives. In this role, you will evaluate investment scenarios, monitor performance measures, and produce analysis that helps business leaders make strategic decisions.
Pay is influenced by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. For the US location, the listed compensation is $141,000 to $206,000 USD, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in FP&A, consulting, or a similar finance-related role, or an advanced degree.
- Background performing end-to-end FP&A work such as budgeting, forecasting, variance review, and financial modeling in a multinational environment.
- Programming experience, including SQL.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience creating SQL queries and pulling information from relational databases.
- Comfort working independently in loosely structured settings and handling ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and day-to-day execution levels.
- Strong relationship-building skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority and work across functions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical judgment, with the ability to partner effectively with executive management.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills, including experience building financial dashboards or models.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and data-driven insight to help the Media Incentives team manage the financial performance of volume-based incentive programs that support video growth.
- Apply technical and quantitative analysis to incentive initiatives, including support for return-on-investment and incrementality studies in coordination with other teams.
- Work with Finance, Product, and partner organizations to keep strategy aligned, improve analysis, and maintain consistent and efficient data usage.
- Support regional finance teams worldwide in designing incentive portfolios that fit their business objectives.
- Contribute to the product FP&A process by continuously forecasting the profit and loss impact of incentive programs.
