Role overview
A growing Dublin-based business is looking to hire a Financial Controller to take ownership of finance operations and support the company’s continued expansion. This is a senior role with wide exposure across the organisation and direct reporting into the CFO.
The position combines hands-on control of day-to-day finance activities with a strong commercial focus, helping shape decisions through analysis, reporting and strategic input.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the month-end closing cycle and deliver management reporting on time and with accuracy.
- Own budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning activities.
- Analyse profitability, margins, costs and overall business performance to provide actionable insight.
- Strengthen financial controls, reporting workflows and governance practices.
- Work closely with operational and commercial teams to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals and other important stakeholders.
- Handle statutory reporting and ensure ongoing compliance with relevant requirements.
- Lead, coach and develop the finance team.
- Spot opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting capabilities.
- Contribute to strategic projects, investment decisions and broader commercial initiatives.
Candidate profile
