Financial Reporting Analyst

Overview

This position focuses on delivering financial insight to corporate leadership, senior management, and field teams. The role covers both internal and external reporting, with an emphasis on balance sheet and profit-and-loss analysis across a multi-division general ledger environment. It also supports initiatives aimed at improving the team’s processes, procedures, and tools.

Total compensation: $63,300 - $103,200

This position is currently set up as a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare external reports for profit and loss, balance sheet, and related support schedules
• Collect, review, and analyze information for the monthly close process
• Guide and monitor the completion of balance sheet reconciliations so they are done on time
• Draft annual tax packages and provide backup for CRA income tax audit questions
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements
• Handle other assigned ad hoc projects

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification, or active progress toward an accounting designation, is mandatory
• Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles
• Advanced Excel skills are required
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and HFM is considered an advantage
• Excellent analytical ability and strong communication skills
• Capability to work independently while managing several projects at the same time
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and help drive them forward
• Skill in quickly assessing data, identifying risks or issues, and recommending solutions
