Role Overview

The Fire & Safety Officer will be responsible for protecting personnel, contractors, and visitors across all Hail site locations and accommodation areas. The role focuses on identifying unsafe conditions or practices, escalating issues to management, and ensuring immediate corrective measures are implemented to reduce or eliminate risks of fire, smoke, and water damage to company assets, systems, and materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor fire and safety conditions across all assigned Hail facilities and housing areas.

  • Help protect people, buildings, plant and equipment, products and raw materials, and both paper-based and electronic information systems.
  • Oversee fire detection and fire suppression equipment and ensure readiness.
  • Carry out incident and accident reporting, fire inspections, maintenance follow-up, and investigations after fire-related events.
  • Lead or support fire drills, fire prevention training, fire risk assessments, and wider risk management activities.
  • Provide supervisory direction and work planning support for subordinates.

  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Should be a member of IOSHE and certified as an ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor.
  • Needs around 3 years of experience in a multicultural workforce environment with exposure to fire detection and suppression systems.
  • Requires 3 to 5 years of prior fire management experience.
  • Prior background as a trained firefighter with a civil fire brigade or a large multinational company fire team is essential.
