Role overview
Omnia Ascent is hiring a detail-focused and self-driven General Accountant for its expanding Food & Beverage business in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role centers on day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, stock and cost oversight, payroll support, and maintaining compliance with Saudi tax and finance rules.
Key responsibilities
- Keep daily financial entries up to date and ensure accounting records remain accurate.
- Handle both accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Track inventory changes and carry out periodic reconciliations.
- Work out food costs, waste levels, and profitability trends.
- Draft monthly financial statements and management reporting packs.
- Run payroll and process employee-related financial payments.
- Support adherence to VAT, ZATCA, and e-invoicing obligations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring cash flow.
- Liaise with external auditors and share the necessary records and documents.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Between 2 and 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in restaurants, cloud kitchens, catering, or food manufacturing.
- A solid grasp of accounting fundamentals and financial statement preparation.
- Hands-on experience with accounting platforms such as Odoo, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar systems.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
- Practical knowledge of inventory tracking and food cost management.
- Good analytical ability, organization, and communication skills.
- Professional credentials like SOCPA, CMA, or CPA will be viewed favorably.
Eligibility
Applicants with relevant accounting education and 2–5 years of experience in finance or accounting, particularly within F&B-related environments, are encouraged to apply.
