Strategic Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day and project-level activities of the function in line with department objectives.
- Design and roll out operational methods and strategies that improve effectiveness.
- Coach and develop team members to strengthen their capabilities and performance.
- Work closely with peer managers to keep activities aligned across departments.
- Track team or project results and prepare performance updates for stakeholders.
Functional Responsibilities
- Handle procurement operations from end to end to make sure materials are available on time and at the best possible cost.
- Create sourcing plans that match operational needs and stay within approved budgets.
- Run supplier evaluation and selection processes to secure compliant and competitive agreements for pharmaceutical procurement.
- Assess supplier performance to ensure quality expectations and contract terms are consistently fulfilled.
- Examine purchase requests to confirm correct specifications, pricing, and compliance with internal policies.
- Monitor procurement KPIs to uncover savings opportunities and strengthen process efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with corporate procurement standards and relevant regulatory rules.
- Coordinate with production and finance teams so purchasing plans reflect operational forecasts.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required.
- A master’s degree is preferred.
- A professional certification in a relevant area is preferred.
Experience
- At least 11 years of relevant experience is required.
- Four years of mid-management experience is preferred.
Language Requirements
- English proficiency is required.
- Arabic proficiency is preferred.
