About the Role
Logitech is looking for a Grant Specialist to support its design-led innovation efforts in Ireland. This position sits at the intersection of design teams and public funding programs, helping the company secure and manage grants that advance product design, sustainable materials, user experience, and related R&D work.
The role goes beyond administration. It is focused on shaping funding strategy, building strong grant applications, and supporting innovation projects that can have meaningful global impact.
What You’ll Do
- Investigate Irish and European grant opportunities tied to design innovation, including Enterprise Ireland R&D supports, IDA Ireland schemes, Horizon Europe, and the Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund (DTIF).
- Develop strong working knowledge of funding programs that back product design, materials research, and UX innovation.
- Monitor changes in the funding environment and advise design leaders on timely strategic opportunities.
- Own the full grant lifecycle, from spotting opportunities through application preparation, submission, and post-award reporting.
- Work with Design, Engineering, and Finance teams to prepare persuasive proposals that clearly explain technical value, design impact, and commercial potential.
- Convert complex design and R&D work into clear, compelling narratives for funding bodies.
- Make sure funded projects stay aligned with compliance obligations and reporting timelines.
- Maintain professional relationships with grant agencies, including participation in reviews and related discussions.
- Track grant budgets, coordinate claims with Finance, and quickly resolve any mismatches or discrepancies.
- Partner with design leadership to understand R&D roadmaps and identify initiatives that fit funding criteria.
- Help advance Logitech’s sustainability goals by supporting funding for design-for-sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in grant management, funding coordination, or R&D incentive work, ideally in a design, engineering, or technology setting.
- Demonstrated success with grant applications involving Irish funding bodies such as Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland, Research Ireland, and/or EU programs.
- Solid understanding of Ireland’s R&D support ecosystem, including R&D tax credits and innovation grants.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to turn technical and design concepts into persuasive proposals.
- Advanced ability with Google Workspace, Excel, and project management or grant tracking systems.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and capable of managing several priorities at once.
- Interest in design, innovation, and sustainability.
- Comfort working across Design, Engineering, Finance, and Legal teams.
- Proactive mindset with a talent for anticipating issues and finding practical solutions.
- Curious, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning.
