Overview

This freelance assignment is for a designer who can turn content into polished, brand-aligned marketing and stakeholder documents for a major destination marketing organization. The work centers on building visually strong layouts for a briefing document and a destination strategy report, each approximately 10 to 20 pages long. The source files will be provided in Word or HTML, and the final output must be suitable for both digital use and print. The initial deadline is mid-July 2026, and there may be follow-on work such as brochures, campaign assets, and stakeholder reporting within the tourism and hospitality space.

Responsibilities

Design and format a briefing document and a destination strategy report in Adobe InDesign using supplied Word or HTML content.
Keep every layout aligned with the established brand system and ensure the visual style remains consistent throughout.
Work with text, icons, and data elements to produce documents that are clear, attractive, and easy to navigate.
Set up final files for both online distribution and print production where needed.
Coordinate remotely with stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and refine the work through to completion.
Be available for possible future assignments, including brochures, campaign materials, and stakeholder reports.

Requirements

Demonstrated hands-on experience with Adobe InDesign, especially for multi-page document design and production.
A portfolio that shows strong work in report design, infographic-style layouts, and presentation materials.
Ability to work within brand guidelines while delivering professional, polished compositions.
Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is beneficial.
Background in tourism, hospitality, or destination marketing would be an advantage.
Strong accuracy, organisation, communication, and time-management skills.
Comfort working autonomously and delivering to demanding timelines.
Capability to work remotely.
Availability to complete the first deliverable by mid-July 2026.
