Role overview

The Ritz-Carlton, Doha is looking for a Hostess to create an exceptional first and last dining impression for guests. In this front-of-house role, you will welcome arrivals with warmth, coordinate reservations and seating, and help keep restaurant service flowing smoothly while upholding the brand’s luxury hospitality standards.

About the property

The Ritz-Carlton, Doha is a luxury 5-star resort on the shores of the Arabian Gulf in West Bay Lagoon, Doha, Qatar. The property has been established for nearly 24 years and includes 374 rooms and suites, award-winning dining venues, spa and fitness facilities, indoor and outdoor pools, a private beach, a Club Lounge, and event spaces for meetings and weddings.

Key duties

• Welcome guests courteously, ideally addressing them by name whenever possible.
• Manage table reservations, waitlists, and seating plans with efficiency.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Keep waiting times clear and accurate during busy periods.
• Work closely with servers and kitchen colleagues to maintain a smooth pace of service.
• Handle special requests, celebrations, VIP arrangements, and dietary needs with care.
• Monitor the dining room’s cleanliness, presentation, and readiness throughout service.
• Answer incoming calls, process bookings, and respond to guest questions promptly.
• Support resolution of guest concerns and escalate issues when required.
• Contribute to a polished, personalized dining experience and uphold Ritz-Carlton and Marriott standards.

Professional expectations

The role requires a consistently professional appearance, strong grooming, adherence to company policies, respect for quality standards, and a guest-focused approach. You will need to remain on your feet for long periods, move across different floor surfaces, read menus and service information carefully, and safely handle light physical tasks such as carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and reaching.

Working conditions

This is a full-time, non-management position. The role is not remote and is based at 1 West Bay Lagoon, Doha, Qatar. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays is expected.
